Terms of Service

Acceptance of terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Gallery Checkup, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app or service.

These terms apply to the Gallery Checkup iOS app, the gallerycheckup.app website, and any related support features.

The service

Gallery Checkup helps you review your photo library on iPhone and find possible cleanup items. The app scans your library on-device, analyzes photos and videos for quality, similarity, and clutter, and organizes candidates into themed cleanup bundles so you can decide what to keep, mark for removal, or export.

The app includes: scanning and classification of your photo library, card-by-card and grid review modes, video trimming and compression, photo/video export to Files or the Share Sheet, a Review Assistant that answers natural-language questions about your bundles (using on-device Apple Intelligence when available, with fallback logic), Protected Memories and Protected Faces features to exclude certain items from cleanup suggestions, background scanning during idle time, local reminders for periodic cleanup, and a Safe Delete Center with cleanup history.

The app is a personal organization tool. It does not guarantee that it will find every similar, large, blurry, old, or low-quality item. You remain responsible for decisions made during review.

Photos, permissions, and deletions

You keep all your rights to your photos, videos, and other content. Gallery Checkup uses the permissions you grant in iOS to analyze the photo library on your device and to request library changes you confirm.

All photo and video analysis (quality scoring, face detection, object classification, text recognition, feature-print comparison) happens entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded to Gallery Checkup or any third party for cleanup review.

Nothing is removed until you review the selection and confirm. After confirmation, removed items may remain recoverable in the Photos app for a limited time, based on iOS behavior. You are responsible for reviewing carefully before deleting any item.

In-app purchases and subscriptions

Gallery Checkup is free to try. You may claim one cleanup bundle at no cost. Paid features are sold through Apple in-app purchases and managed in part by RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service. The App Store purchase sheet shows the name, duration, price, and any introductory offer before you confirm.

The following purchase options are available:

• All Bundles Monthly Subscription: an auto-renewable subscription that unlocks all cleanup bundles.

• Once-and-Done Full Access: a one-time purchase that grants full access for 30 days.

Subscriptions are charged to your Apple Account and renew automatically unless canceled before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. Once-and-Done purchases are a single charge and do not renew. Apple processes all payments, renewals, refunds, price changes, and billing issues under Apple's terms.

Gallery Checkup does not receive or store your full card or payment method details. If paid access does not appear after purchase, use the restore purchases option in the app or contact support.

Analytics

Gallery Checkup includes optional, privacy-focused analytics powered by TelemetryDeck. When enabled, the app sends anonymized event signals (such as scan started, scan completed, or setting changed) to help understand feature usage. No personal information, device identifiers, photos, or video content is transmitted. Analytics are disabled by default and can be toggled on or off at any time in the app's Trust Center, onboarding, or settings.

The gallerycheckup.app website uses Google Tag Manager for website analytics. This is separate from the app's analytics system.

Apple Intelligence

On devices that support Apple Intelligence (iOS 26.0+), Gallery Checkup may use the on-device FoundationModels framework to generate bundle summaries, tag photo content, and power the Review Assistant's natural-language responses. Apple Intelligence runs entirely on your device. No photo or video data is sent to Apple or Gallery Checkup for these features. On unsupported devices, the app uses rule-based fallback logic.

Face data

Gallery Checkup's Protected Faces feature uses Apple's Vision framework to detect faces and generate feature prints, all on your device. This data is stored locally in your app storage and is never transmitted to Gallery Checkup or any third party. You can add or remove protected faces at any time in the app settings.

Notifications

The app may send local reminders for periodic cleanup (weekly or monthly, based on your preference) and recovery reminders 28 days after a cleanup session. These notifications are generated on your device and do not transmit data externally. You can manage or disable notifications in your iOS Settings.

Gallery Checkup is available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad running iOS 18.0 or later. We may change, suspend, or remove features to improve safety, performance, compatibility, or the product experience.

Some features depend on iOS version, device capabilities, Apple Intelligence availability, the App Store, or other Apple services.
